Government Authorities for School Education in Sweden

There are several government authorities responsible for school education. Following are the authorities:

Swedish Schools Inspectorate 

The Swedish Schools Inspectorate administers and inspects the quality of schools across the country through regular inspections. It inspects schools and evaluates applications to run an independent school. The inspectorate oversees in accordance with the Education Act.

The Swedish National Agency for Education

The Sami School Board (SAMS)

The Sami School Board is an administrative authority for public Sami schools in Sweden and related activities, which are ruled by the Sami School Ordinance.The Sami School Board develops Sami tuition as part of the public school system for children. It encourages the development and creation of educational materials for Sami education.
